Eta Beta Chapter

Since its creation in 1976, the Eta Beta Chapter of Kappa Kappa Psi has proudly served the bands at Virginia Tech. The history of our chapter is vast, so if you would like to learn more about our history, please check out Our Legacy page.

Members of our chapter include students from all different majors and walks of life across Virginia Tech. Anyone, regardless of background and gender, may be recruited and become a Brother. The Brothers of the Eta Beta Chapter are a true model of Ut Prosim - Virginia Tech’s motto and dedication to service. Along with Tau Beta Sigma, Kappa Kappa Psi strives to serve VT’s bands, and the community, through numerous fundraisers and other events. A few of our events include helping with Virginia Tech’s Honor Band, Freshman move in, Percussion moves, and band room clean ups; just to name a few. We could not possibly run our Brotherhood, and the service events for our community, without dedicated leaders. Kappa Kappa Psi fosters healthy, strong leaders that shape the future of our community. Our dedication to service has earned the Eta Beta Chapter a reputation of utmost honor. Many of the band organizations around the campus, such as “The Spirit of Tech,” otherwise known as The Marching Virginians, have remarked that they would be unable to function without the volunteerism that Kappa Kappa Psi dedicates. We are proud to be of service to those in our community and will continue to strive for the highest in all aspects: Musicianship, Leadership, Service, and Brotherhood.
