Who can become a Brother?
-
#1.
You must be enrolled at Virginia Tech, and you must be in good academic standing.

#2.
You must meet the minimum semester GPA, which is 2.3.

#3.
You must audition for at least one musical organization for the academic year.
Notes on #3: Class conflict exceptions may be considered by the Vice President of Membership and the Standards Committee. Some musical organizations at Virginia Tech include, but are not limited to: The Marching Virginians, The Highty-Tighties, Jazz Band, Symphony Band, Campus Band, and Wind Ensemble.
The Process
First Step
Follow us on our social media and website to find information on Recruitment Week. Be prepared to have some fun!
Second Step
Attend Recruitment Week and meet the Brothers! We are so excited to get to know you, so try to come to as many events as possible.
However, the only mandatory event is Formal Recruitment, and the Interview that follows.
Third Step
After you attend Formal Recruitment, you will go through the process of being a Membership Candidate! At this point, you will be going through the Lessons of Wisdom and will be going on Brother meals; you may even get a Big Brother as a mentor!
Final Step
Complete the Rituals with your Membership Candidate class and your Final Interview. Welcome to the Eta Beta Chapter and the Brotherhood!
What is required of an Active Brother?
#1.
You must upkeep at least a 2.3 GPA per semester at Virginia Tech.
#3.
You must upkeep the Virginia Tech Honor Code.
#2.
You must upkeep your financial dues to the fraternity, which is a once-a-semester fee.
#4.
You must upkeep your attendance to our weekly Sunday meeting. You have a maximum of 5 absences in a semester; 3 of which can be unexcused.
